Family Business Award

Sponsored by

Open to businesses where majority ownership remains within a family (or multi-family) structure, and where at least two family members work in, own shares in and contribute to the success of the business.

Category criteria

Lancashire businesses continue to face and meet new challenges while servicing customer needs and securing new opportunities.

Every business has a story to tell, and these are the stories Red Rose Awards wants to hear and share.

Tell us yours!

The winner of this award will have at least two family members with operational responsibilities and shareholding in the business.

You will be able to articulate why that matters to your business, while acknowledging the pros and cons of a family structure and how you manage them.

You will demonstrate what it means to be a family business and how (if applicable) non-family members are integrated.

Notes:

  • Businesses entering this award need to specify the family members engaged and their roles
  • Judges will want to know why you’re a stand-out family business and how being a family business has helped you to succeed
  • This award is open to businesses of all sizes but it’s not about how big you are, it’s about how you are developing your family business
