With 20 categories open for entries, there’s something for all businesses in Lancashire to aim for. The Red Rose Awards celebrates business through sector specific categories, plus categories open to all such as employer of the year, customer service award and the innovation award.
Danny Davis, sales and events manager at Ewood Experience, shared why they have been the proud judging venue sponsor for the past seven years.
RRA: What changes have you seen in the Red Rose Awards over the years that you have been involved?
DD: We have seen it grow in numbers, the exposure has grown in person and digitally.
RRA: What is the most rewarding part of being a sponsor?
DD: By hosting the judging we get the opportunity to showcase our wonderful facilities here at Ewood Park. Large spacious open rooms, plenty of free parking and great food.
RRA: How do you feel that the Red Rose Awards benefit Lancashire?
DD: The Red Rose Awards showcases the amazing business the county has to offer; it gives those businesses a platform to be proud and celebrate the hard work that has been put into it.
RRA: How do you feel that your involvement with the Red Rose Awards benefits Ewood Experience?
DD: The opportunity to showcase our venue to all involved.
RRA: Do you have any words of advice for businesses who may be considering entering this year?
DD: Take the opportunity and grab it with both hands, let others know about the wonderful work you do from day to day, just by being involved other businesses will hear about your story and why you do what you do.
Since the awards were launched in 2011, it has steadily grown and become the centrepiece attraction for the business community.
Businesses interested in entering the awards have until August 20 to submit their entry forms. The finalists will be announced on September 10, and they will then be given the opportunity to put their best case to the judges on September 22 and 23.
