We are delighted to have Pendle Engineering on board as the Red Rose Awards 2021 trophy partner for their third year!
Pendle Engineering are an award-winning subcontract steel manufacturing company, focussed on delivering quality, service and value through our people.
Chris Smith, managing director of Pendle Engineering, discussed with us why they support the Red Rose Awards.
RRA: How did Pendle Engineering first get involved with the Red Rose Awards?
CS: A couple of years ago we were asked to support the Red Rose Awards by supplying the trophies and we were glad to help! We’re looking forward to helping out with the new trophy design for this year’s awards.
RRA: What changes have you seen in the Red Rose Awards over the years that you have been involved?
CS: The sheer scale of the event has just grown and grown. The new categories this year are fantastic, shining a spotlight on new corners of the Lancashire business scene.
RRA: What is the most rewarding part of being a sponsor?
CS: Being able to treat some of my colleagues to a black-tie event, showcasing the best that Lancashire has to offer. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to catch up with the usual familiar faces!
RRA: How do you feel that the Red Rose Awards benefit Lancashire?
CS: t doesn’t hurt for us humble Northerners to be reminded every once and a while just how good we are, especially in the red rose county.
RRA: How do you feel that your involvement with the Red Rose Awards benefits Pendle Engineering?
CS: For me it’s simply about lending our expertise to a cracking group of people, and a fantastic event. We don’t’ look to overly capitalise on the sponsorship but the exposure is welcomed, and it feels great to be amongst a group of leading organisations in the area. The judging day is a personal highlight, there just too many cracking businesses to choose from!!
Since the awards were launched in 2011, it has steadily grown and become the centrepiece attraction for the business community.
Entries for the awards have now closed. The finalists were announced on Friday 10 September and are available to view here. All finalists will be given the opportunity to put their best case to the judges on September 22 and 23.
