It brings us great pleasure to announce that Peter Scott Printers is sponsoring the Red Rose Awards for their eleventh year.
Established in 1960 Peter Scott Printers are the go-to print partner for clients across Lancashire and throughout the UK, as well as the printers for Lancashire Business View magazine.
With 20 categories open for entries, there’s something for all businesses in Lancashire to aim for. The Red Rose Awards celebrates business through sector specific categories, plus categories open to all such as employer of the year, customer service award and the innovation award.
Joanne Hindley, managing director of Peter Scott Printers, shares why the organisation has been involved in the Red Rose Awards, since the very beginning.
RRA: How did Peter Scott Printers first get involved with the Red Rose Awards?
JH: As printers of Lancashire Business View Magazine we’ve worked in partnership for many years.
We’ve sponsored every annual Red Rose Awards since it’s inception and provide all the print related items for the event including leaflets, flyers, pull up banners, programmes and certificates.
The first year we sponsored the Environmental Impact award as it tied in with us becoming FSC certified and each year since we have sponsored the Creative/Marketing categories as we are keen to champion and celebrate the creative talent in our county.
RRA: What changes have you seen in the Red Rose Awards over the years that you have been involved?
JH: The awards have grown year on year. Each year they review and improve across the whole awards process – improving the networking opportunities for sponsors and finalists, making the entry and judging processes better, amending and adding categories to reflect the changing businesses in our county and somehow making each awards night bigger and better than the last.
RRA: What is the most rewarding part of being a sponsor?
JH: The most rewarding part of being a sponsor is without doubt the opportunity to be part of the judging process. It is an honour and privilege to be able to hear the varied success stories of our county’s top businesses and to be able to meet them in person on judging days.
Awarding the winners on the night and being able to share their joy on stage is just wonderful.
RRA: How do you feel that the Red Rose Awards benefit Lancashire?
JH: The awards give a platform for the businesses in Lancashire to shout about their successes and to meet with a multitude of other businesses to encourage intertrading with potential new contacts.
“If you can buy it in Lancashire….Buy it in Lancashire” is the message – loud and clear.
RRA: How do you feel that your involvement with the Red Rose Awards benefits Peter Scott Printers?
JH: Sponsoring the awards gives us an opportunity to showcase our services to all the attendees – it gives us visibility within the local business community. We get the opportunity to meet and network with a wide range of businesses and we have gained new customers as a direct result of meeting them through our involvement with the Red Rose Awards.
We also invite our clients to join us at the awards night and that is always a great opportunity to strengthen our relationship and introduce them to other successful local businesses.
RRA: Do you have any words of advice for businesses who may be considering entering this year?
JH: If you are considering entering the awards this year, I would encourage you to do so.
The whole process will enable you to look back on your achievements and shout about your business success and the staff that helped you achieve it. The judging process is stringent and the competition is tough so to be a finalist isn’t easy – but the rewards you can reap from the opportunities of being involved are huge.
Since the awards were launched in 2011, it has steadily grown and become the centrepiece attraction for the business community.
Businesses interested in entering the awards have until August 20 to submit their entry forms. The finalists will be announced on September 10, and they will then be given the opportunity to put their best case to the judges on September 22 and 23.
