We are delighted to announce that Four Recruitment is sponsoring Employer of the Year Award at the Red Rose Awards 2021, the eleventh annual celebration of the Lancashire business community.
Four Recruitment is a leading recruitment consultancy recruiting finance, HR, executive, supply chain and business support roles across Lancashire.
With 20 categories open for entries, there’s something for all businesses in Lancashire to aim for. The Red Rose Awards celebrates business through sector specific categories, plus categories open to all such as employer of the year, customer service award and the innovation award.
To celebrate their sponsorship of the Red Rose Awards, we caught up with Neil Whitaker, associate director, Four Recruitment to ask why they support the awards.
RRA: How did Four Recruitment first get involved with the Red Rose Awards?
NW: We first became involved in the awards back in 2015 sponsoring the Employer of the year category. Last year however, we sponsored the New Business Award as we recognise the importance of supporting new business ventures and their impact on how the region grows and develops.
This year we have gone back to our roots and are once again sponsoring Employer of the Year. As a recruitment company, this is a category that is really important to us. I think this year more than ever we have learnt that our people are our biggest asset, so ensuring that we are supporting and nurturing them is crucial.
RRA: What changes have you seen in the Red Rose Awards over the years that you have been involved?
NW: It’s been incredible to watch the awards grow over the past six years, in terms of attendees on the evening and the categories available for entry. What has remained however, is the high calibre of the ceremony and quality of entries.
RRA: What is the most rewarding part of being a sponsor?
NW: Meeting the variety of businesses is the best part of being a sponsor. We’ve met some truly outstanding companies during our involvement in the awards, many of which we’ve continued to work with over the years. It’s also incredibly rewarding to know that you are genuinely helping a business to become a winner.
RRA: How do you feel that the Red Rose Awards benefit Lancashire?
NW: Lancashire has some fantastic success stories and businesses that ordinarily you may not have heard of. It helps us, as a region, to be exposed to new relationships and business opportunities.
RRA: How do you feel that your involvement with the Red Rose Awards benefits Four Recruitment?
NW: It’s great exposure for an SME like Four. Sponsorship of the awards shows our commitment to Lancashire and promotes our services to businesses across the region. The evening is also an incredible opportunity to meet with existing and new connections.
RRA: Do you have any words of advice for businesses who may be considering entering this year?
NW: My biggest piece of advice would be to use the submission as a real opportunity to fully demonstrate why you deserve to win and don’t hold back. I would also add that if you do make it through to the second stage, bring to the interview your full confidence and passion and don’t be nervous, the judges are there to support you through it and you’ll hopefully enjoy the process!
Since the awards were launched in 2011, it has steadily grown and become the centrepiece attraction for the business community.
Businesses interested in entering the awards have until August 20 to submit their entry forms. The finalists will be announced on September 10, and they will then be given the opportunity to put their best case to the judges on September 22 and 23.
