With 20 categories open for entries, there’s something for all businesses in Lancashire to aim for. The Red Rose Awards celebrates business through sector specific categories, plus categories open to all such as employer of the year, customer service award and the innovation award.
We spoke with Sarah Hall, head of business development at Blackpool & The Fylde College, to discuss why they chose to sponsor the Red Rose Awards.
RRA: How did Blackpool & The Fylde College first get involved with the Red Rose Awards?
SH: We have always worked closely with Lancashire Business View and we were keen to be part of the awards as we recognise their importance in the Business Community.
RRA: What changes have you seen in the Red Rose Awards over the years that you have been involved?
SH: Every year the standard of award entries goes from strength to strength - a clear indication that business owners are increasing their commitment to the development and upskilling of their teams.
Every business in Lancashire can enjoy transformational change through specialist training. We've proved this time and again for our diverse and multidisciplinary portfolio of business partners. The Red Rose Awards constantly evolve, with the reputation of the awards continuing to attract and inspire more businesses to get involved, come together and establish valuable relationships.
RRA: What is the most rewarding part of being a sponsor?

SH: The Red Rose Awards are a real opportunity to raise our profile and interact with businesses across Lancashire. RRA: Do you have any words of advice for businesses who may be considering entering this year?

Since the awards were launched in 2011, it has steadily grown and become the centrepiece attraction for the business community.
Businesses interested in entering the awards have until August 20 to submit their entry forms. The finalists will be announced on September 10, and they will then be given the opportunity to put their best case to the judges on September 22 and 23.
