RRA: How did United Utilities first get involved with the Red Rose Awards?
SW: United Utilities were introduced to Lancashire Business View and the awards by the Community Foundation for Lancashire and their charitable work across the region.
RRA: What is the most rewarding part of being a sponsor?
SW: The most rewarding part is seeing recognition and pride in the winners eyes when shortlisted candidates are given an opportunity to sell their ideas and products at interview sta.ge
RRA: How do you feel that the Red Rose Awards benefit Lancashire?
SW: The benefit to Lancashire is immense, the ground breaking innovation across the region isn’t always visible, but the awards give opportunities to showcase products, ideas and new technology not only locally, but nationally and internationally.

Since the awards were launched in 2011, it has steadily grown and become the centrepiece attraction for the business community.
Entries for the awards have now closed. The finalists were announced on Friday 10 September and are available to view here. All finalists were given the opportunity to put their best case to the judges on September 22 and 23.
